How it works
Practice that adapts
Students work on Math Academy, which diagnoses exactly what they know, fills the gaps, and moves at their pace. About 30 focused minutes a day.
A coach who shows up
Every school day, their coach texts: real numbers, real encouragement, a real conversation. Missed a day? The coach notices. Crushed it? The coach celebrates.
Parents in the loop
You get a short evening progress note and a weekly summary. Objective numbers straight from the platform — never a mystery how it's going.
The missing ingredient is consistency
Great math software already exists. The reason most students don't improve is simpler: they don't sit down and do it. That's the problem 30 a Day solves.
Each student names their own coach and picks its style — warm, direct, sports-coach, or thoughtful. The coach knows their daily goal, their streak, and their week, and checks in like a real person would.
30 a Day was founded by Cory Needham, a credentialed mathematics teacher in Sonoma County, California, who built it for his own students first. A real human reviews every flagged conversation, and parents can reach him directly anytime.

Enrollment takes about three minutes. Your student hears from their coach the same day.
Enroll your studentSMS Program Disclosure
Families enrolled in 30 a Day agree to receive SMS (text) messages on behalf of the assigned coach. Here is exactly how that works.
Who receives messages
- The enrolled student, at the mobile number provided by the parent.
- The parent or guardian who completed the consent form, at the number they provided.
What messages contain
- Daily check-ins about Math Academy practice progress, reminders when a student is behind on their goal, and celebrations of milestones.
- Parent digests summarizing the day's or week's progress, and direct alerts to parents after three or more consecutive missed days or any matter requiring family attention.
Frequency and cost
Typically zero to four messages per recipient per day, varying with the student's progress. No messages between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM except in urgent circumstances. 30 a Day never charges for messages; standard carrier messaging and data rates may apply.
